Darryl Hannah took up residence in a walnut tree 3 weeks ago to protest the demolition of a 14 acre fruit and vegetable garden in LA’s South Central. She was joined by about 25 immigrant workers to save the land, but it bore fruitless. She was removed from her 40 foot perch and was plannng on resisting arrest “in a peaceful way”. I’m not really sure what that means, exactly, but that was her plan.
Maybe she should have offered to buy the land from the owner that was planning on developing it, instead and skipped the whole arrest thing. Makes a little bit more sense..
