RIP: Proof - Battle Rap Legend Slain

I checked out 8 Mile last night, and sure enough, there’s Proof “battling” Em in the first battle scene in the movie. Then you realize the Mekhi role is Proof too (Future is close enough). In that movie he isn’t portrayed as a gangsta at all, but he was always a fan of hard-core lyrics.

I haven’t heard any details about this case that have made a ton of sense, so I’m reserving judgment until more facts come out. The ending here leaves confusion and sadness for all of his fans.

D12 had a third album recording planned for next month. All those plans are currently on hold.
